Artaic Wins CID Award for Iowa State Mural: Learning to Fly

Congratulations to Artaic for their award winning mural featured in the Coverings Installation and Design (CID) Awards. For your next feature project in the Middle East, North Africa or Turkey get in touch with us for assistance in sourcing artists and materials.

The 2013 Coverings Installation and Design (CID) Awards† is a competition for architects, designers, contractors, installers, and manufactures to demonstrate creativity and outstanding technical know-how in the use of tile and stone in commercial and residential projects. Artaic was awarded the 2013 CID award for a commercial application for “Learning to Fly” at Iowa State University.

Boston artist Eric Sealine teamed up with Artaic to transform his oil painting into a 75 foot wide tile mural for Iowa State University. Spanning 1,395 square feet, “Learning to Fly” creates an impressive backdrop for the swimming pool facility at the State Gymnasium of Iowa State University.
